It finishes long and creamy. \u003cbr\u003eUsing 10% new oak to age his wine, he appears to have gotten the balance spot on.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBoyer Martenot have some of the oldest vines planted in Meursault - up to 90 years old - so while this may reduce yield it does improve the concentration of flavours in the final blend. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRobert Parker says ‘ Boyer Martenot produce some really quite excellent wines …. a floral style with peach and apricot scents furnishing the aromatics … these are wines you just want to drink and enjoy.’\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe are big fans of the white wines of the Cotes de Beaune and have to remind ourselves sometimes that there is only 4 kilometers from the village of Meursault to the village of Puligny Montrachet. While both are 100% Chardonnay, Puligny is all about minerality, precision and length while Meursault generally is richer and creamier.\u003cbr\u003eWines from both villages are of course outstanding and Vincent Boyer has parcels in both villages.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAlc.
